The Giro Aries Spherical MIPS Road Helmet is built for cyclists who want top-tier protection, exceptional ventilation and all-day comfort without feeling weighed down. As Giro’s flagship road cycling helmet, it combines advanced safety technologies with a lightweight design to help you stay focused on the road, whether you’re chasing personal bests, racing, or tackling long endurance rides.
If you’ve ever finished a ride with a hot head, sweat in your eyes or pressure points from an uncomfortable helmet, the Aries addresses those issues directly. Its highly ventilated design keeps air moving across your scalp, while the DryCore™ sweat management system helps direct moisture away from your eyes. The result is a cooler, more comfortable cycling experience, especially during hard efforts and warm Australian conditions.
Who is this road cycling helmet for?
The Giro Aries Spherical MIPS Road Helmet is ideal for cyclists who spend serious time on the bike and want one of the lightest, coolest and most protective road helmets available. It’s particularly well suited to road cyclists, endurance riders, gran fondo participants and racers who regularly tackle long distances, hot conditions or high-intensity efforts. If comfort, ventilation and premium safety are high on your priority list, the Aries is designed for you.
What is Spherical by MIPS Technology?
Spherical Technology is Giro’s version of rotational impact protection, developed in partnership with MIPS®. Rather than using a separate plastic slip liner, the helmet’s outer and inner foam layers can move independently in certain angled impacts. The idea is to help redirect some rotational forces that may otherwise be transferred to the brain. It’s a clever design that integrates the technology directly into the helmet while maintaining excellent comfort and airflow.
Sunglass Docking Ports
Most road cyclists have experienced that awkward moment when you need to remove your sunglasses during a climb or when conditions change. The integrated eyewear docking ports give your glasses a secure place to sit when they’re not on your face. The rubber grippers help keep them in place, making it easy to stash your eyewear without worrying about it bouncing out on rough roads.
Sizing
Choosing the correct helmet size is important for both comfort and protection. Measure the circumference of your head using a flexible tape measure, positioning it just above your eyebrows and ears. If you’re between sizes, many cyclists prefer the smaller size for a snug performance fit, although the Roc Loc® 5+ Air retention system provides plenty of adjustment to fine-tune comfort.
