Freedom 27.5 x 1.90 Roadrunner Tyre (650b)

The Freedom Roadrunner 27.5″ tyre is built for riders who want the strength of a mountain bike with the efficiency of a commuter. With its smooth, grooved slick design, it delivers low rolling resistance while maintaining reliable grip through corners — ideal for zipping through city streets or hard-packed paths.

Designed with urban durability in mind, this tyre features a 3mm Armour Protection layer to guard against glass, thorns, and everyday debris. The tough casing adds a layer of confidence for heavier riders, e-bike users, or anyone who values puncture resistance without sacrificing ride quality.

Who is this for?

This tyre suits commuters, urban riders, and MTB or gravel bike owners looking to convert their bike to a more efficient pavement or light trail setup. It’s also a solid choice for riders prioritising puncture protection and durability.

Who is this not for?

Riders seeking a true off-road tyre for loose terrain, mud, or aggressive trail riding should look elsewhere. Its slick profile isn’t designed for technical MTB use.

Why we love it

It bridges the gap between MTB toughness and commuter practicality. The slick tread rolls fast, the puncture protection works well in real-world conditions, and the 27.5 x 1.9 size keeps things agile yet comfortable. It’s a great upgrade for anyone commuting on a mountain bike.
