A tube-type tyre requires an inner tube to hold air — they can’t be used tubeless. Inner tubes are sold separately unless specifically included. This is the most common setup for everyday bikes and is easy to install or repair if you get a puncture.
Tyre bead: Wire Bead (non-folding)

Wire bead bicycle tyres feature a rigid steel wire in their bead, making them durable and generally more affordable. While they cannot be folded and are heavier than folding tyres, they offer excellent reliability and a wide range of options for everyday riding. Sometimes we ship them in a gentle figure-8 shape — this won’t harm the tyre and it will pop back into shape once fitted.
These 26 inch tyres are ideal for replacements or spares – you never know when you’re going to need one!
This is a size particularly suitable if you’re repurposing what was previously known as a mountain bike – these tyres are skinnier, and the tread pattern faster, than traditional MTB tyres and they are a favourite for hybrid-style applications. Perfectly suited to city riding and especially when switching surfaces: from asphalt roads to concrete paths to gravel tracks.
