This is one of the most relaxed and feel-good events of the week. The Health Partners Family Ride is all about getting kids and parents on bikes together, sharing the Tour Down Under atmosphere without any pressure to go fast.
Held at Victoria Park, families get to ride laps on a section of the Prologue circuit, the same roads the world’s best cyclists race on. Some kids will be wobbling through their first confident laps, others will be proudly leading the way, and that is exactly the point. It is fun, inclusive and very low stress.
Olympian Jess Stenson and her family are usually part of the action, adding to the friendly, community feel. Parents and guardians are welcome to ride or walk alongside younger riders, so everyone can take part at their own pace.
Your entry includes unlimited laps during the session, plus a Health Partners goodie bag with a t-shirt and bike number. There are also plenty of family activities running as part of Health Partners Family Day, making it easy to turn the ride into an afternoon out.
