Knog’s PWR Commuter is a 450 lumen LED bike light that can also be used as a power bank. Includes the option to program your brightness and runtime (through ModeMaker app), then use your remaining battery to charge your devices. The light outputs in an elliptical beam for broader, brighter road coverage; is USB rechargeable, and has 4 smart battery indicator LEDs to let the rider know how much charge is left in the light.

  • Light output: 450 Lumens
  • Power bank: 850 mAh
  • Dimensions: 98 x 30mm ร˜
  • Weight: 85g
  • Fits handlbars: 22.2mm – 31.8mm ร˜
  • What’s in the box: Light, Silicone Strap, USB Cable, Hex Key

This light comes with 6 pre-programmed modes, just in case you havenโ€™t yet discovered the ModeMaker app. The optimum steady mode for the PWR Commuter is the aptly named โ€œCommuteโ€ mode. It runs for 2 hours at 200 lumens, but there is always the option to crank it up to the 450-lumen โ€œRideโ€ mode.

Elliptical beam for wide view works with spot beam for intense light in front of front wheel.

Rear of the light is a USB rechargeable power bank. Use this to charge your phone, GoPro or cycle computer on the go. 1 hour riding @ 450 lumens means you can top up charge your iPhone by 35%. Charge time 3.5 hours.

The ModeMaker app lows you to design the modes for any PWR bike light. Simply plug in your light, then select and tailor modes from the menu.ย  You can do things such as control brightness, adjust runtimes and add new light modes.

If you have thinning hair and get a cold head under your well ventilated helmet on a chilly winter's day, yet you still work up a dripping sweat during extreme efforts, then these should help to stop pesky sweat running into your eyes while keeping the breeze off your pate. See my comments about the Halo headbands. Very small and light to carry. I like them.

If, unfortunately, like me, you are a sweaty rider and annoyed with sweat running into your eyes, or onto your glasses or shades, then these Halo headbands really do the job of minimising these hassles. More than just an absorbent headband, they have a 'drip seal' that restricts moisture running down into you eyes, directing it to the side of you forehead instead. They work for me.

The cap is well-made but the sizing is very tight because of the elastic. The listing states that the cap will fit head size 58-60 cm. My normal hat size is 58 cm but this cap was uncomfortably tight, so I had to unpick the rear stitching, remove the elastic, and stitch it back up again. Now itโ€™s very comfortable to wear under a helmet. I think thatโ€™s a flaw in the design.
